L.Y.F.E. Behavior Management

L.Y.F.E. promotes respect and positive behavior with all residents who enter the Shelter Program. Residents are encouraged to perform self-calming techniques any time he or she feels the onset of out-of-control behavior. Inform your child’s case manager of ways they have to calm themselves so
that he/she may inform the Direct Care Staff.

Our Community Commitments outline the positive, neutral, and negative behaviors that may occur. Positive behaviors are those actions that promote our commitments and safety. Neutral behaviors are those that have little to no consequence to yourself or others in a good or bad way. The majority of behaviors anyone does is typically neutral. Negative behaviors are those that work against our commitments or safety.
